This safety can is made of high-density polyethylene, which can withstand acids, corrosives, and heat. The self-closing, leak-proof top avoids spills and automatically vents to prevent explosion. The pressure relief trigger mechanism allows small amounts of liquid to be poured, and the stainless steel flame arrester protects against external heat sources, all of which work together to prevent ignition sources from entering the can while allowing liquid flow in and out.

With stainless steel fittings and an oval form, the Type I Oval Polyethylene Safety Can enhances shelf storage capacity. For correct grounding, Justrite's unique design contains a proprietary, current-carrying carbon insert implanted in the container.

Note: Carbon Insert is a patented, current-carrying, conductive carbon insert that is implanted into the rib of containers, completing a ground path between the cover assembly and the flame arrester. This offers adequate grounding and prevents the formation of a static arc when filling or pouring when used with a grounding strip.
