Vent, 2inch - Horizontal Drum Vents, All Brass

Do you need a vent for petroleum type chemicals? Try our Justrite® 300 All-Brass 2 inch Horizontal Vent.
These 2" vents that threads into the 2 inch NPS bung opening of an American Made Barrel/Drum Bung hole; with this type vent drums need to be stored horizontally.


Operation: Lift the spring-loaded knurled knob and turn to set it to open to vent pressure build-up and to relieve vacuum when draining drums.
Note: Do NOT leave vents open for a long duration, this will cause evaporation of the contained product. (Manual venting is recommended)

The Built-in Flame Arrestor accentuates your safety measures because it prevents “flashback” ignition of the vented vapor to the drum contents.
Drums of flammable liquids exposed to heat or fire will build-up a dangerous amount of pressure. In the event of a fire or exposure to excessive heat,
an emergency vent (center disc) will detach from the center of the vent to prevent the drum from rupturing and fueling the fire.
If your drums contain flammable liquids and they are exposed to heat or fire, the pressure buildup can rupture the drum and fuel the fire.
Vent plugs automatically open at 5 psi/internal pressure to protect the drum.
