Drum Adapter The DRIERITE Drum Adapter (Stock No. 8DR50001) provides convenient means for connecting either the disposable cartridge (Stock No. 8DR40451) or the refillable vent drier (Stock No. 8DR50068).



  • This Desiccant Adapter fits most Drum openings either 3/4" or 2" Bung Hole Openings.
  • Install by twisting the adapter into the National Pipe Thread (NPT) Bung Hole of the Drum.
  • Refer to the Technical Data Section drawing to help placing a vent drier system on any drum.
  • Puncture both ends of the disposable cartridge (or remove plugs from the refillable vent drier).
  • Insert the cartridge (or refillable vent drier) into the rubber hose and tighten the hose clamps.
  • Once installed, material can be withdrawn from the drum without being contaminated with moisture.


    • Alternative: If you do not have NPT Openings; The Cartridge Holder (Stock No. 8DR50003), provides a hose barb connection for 1/4" and 3/8" flexible tubing.
